"The Almighty’s greatest name has 73 characters (or parts). The Great King Solomon of Israel possessed only one letter of it, enabling him to traverse the Earth in the twinkling of an eye. Many eastern profits were said to have possession of 72 of the characters, allowing them to produce other worldly miracles or Keramats. The last letter is concealed from all creation and remains a secret only to The Almighty Himself."

In One Nation the characters of The Almighty’s Name equate to people with superhuman abilities, who are known within the story as Keramats.

And the most powerful of them is Paragon, our hero. Deputized by the US government for saving an ambushed Army unit during the first Gulf war, he begins his superhero career. In addition to Paragon’s efforts, other Keramats begin to emerge. The Talented Ten, a growing multiculturalists’ organization, led by the enigmatic Sundiata. Sundiata believes the gathering of all Keramats will bring about an age of prosperity to the world and an end to his search for purpose. As his journey reveals more to him he begins to see an underlying pattern: there is one truth that joins them all together, a truth he believes he is close to uncovering.

The Ten enlighten Paragon to the social imbalances in the world, while beginning to inspire the public’s conscious with their heroic and philanthropic deeds. In the public eye they proclaim their efforts to change the world. Their ever growing positive influences, causes secret factions within the American government (and others) to conspire against them, resulting in the unleashing of a power that may surpass even Paragon's, project: "Blau Mitternacht" (Blue Midnight).
